The Longhorn — at — Way Back Texas

Way Back Texas is a state of mind.

Located on nearly nine acres in downtown Bandera with frontage on the Medina River, The Longhorn is part dancehall, part amphitheater, part front-porch welcome. The grounds have been home to a watering hole or restaurant since 1947. We just gave it a new chapter.

Inside, an 11,000 sq. ft. dancehall finished in authentic materials — including long-leaf pine, cypress, cedar, and reclaimed barnwood — houses two indoor bars, a raised seating tier, pool tables, a proper stage and a dance floor that knows what it's there for.

Step out on our back porch, and you'll find scenic river views across a tiered outdoor amphitheater, lined with majestic cypress trees.

It's a place to hear great music up close, raise a glass with neighbors and travelers, and keep Bandera's honky-tonk lineage going strong.
